We have a guest room upstairs that I have been wanting to do something with for a while. Well, I finally did with the help of my mom. While we were at Hobby Lobby one day we came across chevron fabric and I fell in love with it. I needed some curtains and thought this fabric would be perfect. Although you can sew these we decided to do it the no sew way!
What you will need:
- fabric to length
- iron-on adhesive
- iron
- wet towel
- rings with clips
These are really easy to make. The first thing you need to do is to cut the fabric to the length you desire and then iron all of the fabric. I wanted mine to be to the floor but you may not want them to be. Place the fabric upside down. Take about an inch of fabric and fold it at the top and bottom, then iron it down.
To get your fabric the same distance all the way across, draw a straight line on a piece of cardboard. When folding the fabric fold it up to the line each time.
Place the iron-on adhesive in between the fabric in the folded area and then iron it. Make sure you get the iron-on adhesive as close to the edge of the fabric as possible but completely underneath the fabric. If it is not under the fabric it will get on your iron and leave a sticky residue. Not fun to remove.
Add your rings with clips to the top. Hobby Lobby sells them in a pack of 12 for $7.99. Place the rings onto the curtain rod and you are done!
